Nestled between Larkspur and Mill Valley at the base of Mount Tamalpais, Corte Madera has plenty to offer its residents. It reaches from Mount Tamalpais to the Bay, where you’ll find a range of outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and kayaking.
Corte Madera’s charming location is home to two of Marin’s best shopping centers: Town Center and The Village at Corte Madera. Both are beautiful outdoor shopping centers sprinkled with small boutiques, restaurants, and department stores.
A new special place to dine (which we hear has a new vegan menu) is Flores. We’ve tried it (many times) and loved it!
If you’re looking for the latest and greatest in everything hair, Plum Salon is as good as it gets. Lynsie Gautereaux, the owner, is gifted, masterful, and also cutting-edge cool. We like a person who stands out in their field and remains accessible. Try to snag yourself an appointment even if there is a wait! It’s worth it.Â
Corte Madera sort of has the best of all worlds. Close for commuting, SF, and freeway access, and it’s also beautiful and quiet. There are bike paths, parks, and hiking trails all around. And East Corte Madera offers a trip around the backside of Tiburon: Secret things you learn when you finally discover Marin!
